AUTUMN is a beautiful time of year for horse riding, not too hot, not too cold it is simply perfect!.  Feel the mountain air, breath the mountain air.   As you head up the mountains the mountain mist surrounds you, you feel you are so very far away from the busy life you left behind you.   As the sun makes its way through the early morning clouds you will see a lovely day ahead of you.   Why do we ride the mountains?  Because we love them some riders almost need them, they are our home they are part of our Australian Wilderness and we have the wonderful pleasure of  being a  part of that.  IF YOU NEED TO ESCAPE THE REAL WORLD WE CAN ASSURE YOU, YOU WILL FIND ANOTHER  WORLD HERE one you will most likely fall in love with. 

For those that simply need a more laid back scenic ride through the rain forests (foothills of the Watagans) we have rides from one hour to two hours in length.  Either way you are most certain to appreciate the beauty of the Watagan Mountains (Lake Macquarie/Hunter Valley).

JACKAROO/JILLAROO WEEKEND PACKAGE (suited to the teens or mature 11/12 yr old's).

Weekend packages have now commenced.  This package is suited to those wishing to own    their own horse or those that have a strong interest in horses.  You will assist in the safe handling and feeding of stock and various farm animals.  You will learn  how to tack-up, learn about the general care of horses and learn how to ride a horse.   You will participate as part of a team, and consequently learn team work.  You will see the behind the scene's running of a 114 acre rural property.   Fully superivsed at all times by the proprietor's of the business.  We are a small family business that has been established  for over 10 years with 35 years experience.  Fully Insured.  AAA Horse Riding (Lake Macquarie) is an hour from Sydney, 45 minutes from Newcastle/Gosford.  Pick-up available from Morisset railway station if required.

Camp is set up beside the farm house.  If you do not own camping equipment this can be supplied n/c.  All meals included.  Arrival time 10.00 a.m. Saturday, departure time 4.00 p.m. Sunday.  Cost $260.00 per person.

50% deposit required to secure your booking, riding helmets drizabone raincoats supplied.

MID WEEK SPECIAL LUNCHEON PACKAGE:-

Two hours trail riding followed by  a freshly prepared lunch comprising savouries,  prawns, cold meats & salads.    Complimentary glass of sparking wine!.  BYOG permitted.

                                   For the winter months a bbq/camp fire replaces the above.

                                   Commencement time 9.30 a.m  -  wind-up time 2.30 p.m.

                                                              Cost per person $70.00

This package is suitable for beginner's to advanced rider's.    Bookings are essential, 50% deposit required.
